Laura :
Hi, I’m a second year graphic design student. In July I’ll have a month break so I’m thinking of finding a job. It must be related to graphic design, cos I want to gain some work experience, I don’t care if it is paid work or non paid work. I already have a target, it is a graphic design company located just upstair in at my college. (My college is located in a commercial building in a very ‘high class’ suburb) And I think this is why I want to work there so much even if they won’t paid me.
I had a look of the company website, (and it looks crap seriously) I only find one email address, so if I want to ask them if I can work there for maybe once or two days a week for some experience, do you think I should email my resume to that address? Or should I ask before sending the resume?
I’m not confidence because I firstly have no pervious work experience and secondly english is my weakness…

I would not apply at this company. what I would suggest is going to some small businesses and ask to do some pro bono work for them at no cost. They may jump with glee to even get a modest web sight/logo going. With English your weakness there is spell check you know. And be a little careful in making others web sites wrong. You really do not have the credibility yet.
