It's a combination of art/design and physics; creating something functional and esthetically pleasing that won't fall down. School is expensive for everyone. I'm not sure about giving presentations. I imagine you would have to present your own designs in your later years. But no matter what you study, you'll have to do presentations, facilitate class discussions, etc. You can't work as an Architect without getting a degree in it. The job market tends to be permanently busy, so finding a job can be challenging (especially as we're still coming out of the recession). Expect to relocate for work.
